MEG

Holman's Meg

Pete  x Molly

2015 NWSS INTERMEDIATE SHEEP GRAND CHAMPION

Meg is a great young dog at DOG4EWE. Meg has been working the sheep flock at home, as well as competiting at several sheep and cattle trials. We are very happy with her and can’t wait to see what her future holds.

*** Meg tore an CCL in March 2015 and had surgery to repair it on April 24th.
UPDATE: September 9th: Twenty four swims (at The Fit Canine in Lincoln, NE), and over 300 walks with exercises and Dr. Lon Lemon says Meg is good to go back to herding!! We're excited to get back to training!

TRIAL ACCOMPLISHMENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • 2015 National Western Stock Show Intermediate Sheep Grand Champion (at 23 months old)

  • 2015 Meg wins overall in Pro-Novice at Chance Ridge CDTs (2 trials)

Meg is out of Molly by Tom Forester’s Pete. Meg’s sire, Pete, worked daily on Tom’s farm and was very successful on the trial field for many years. Pete was the 2005 Cattle Nationals Nursery Champion, as well being the 2010 Nationals Reserve Open Champion dog. (no other dog has done both) Meg’s dam, Molly shows great ability in working both sheep and cattle. Molly has great sense of her stock and is eager to please. Meg showed amazing instinct early on – trying to work the other dogs at 8 weeks old.
